QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced engineer that will take ownership and drive improvements in our quality assurance processes to ensure that we build the best software and provide the best service to our customers.
50% manual acceptance/functional testing.
30% automation testing.
20% working on general improvements on QA.
We'd like to reduce the need of manual testing to the minimum.
Expectations:
Develop and perform both manual and automated testing strategies for web applications.
Create and maintain test plans.
Set up, own and maintain testing infrastructure.
Coach and teach other engineers on testing approaches.
Investigate reported bugs, define approach to testing and finding similar bugs earlier in the process.
Research test tools, methodologies, and trends to improve existing practices and processes.
Integrate and improve automation testing suits executed in CI/CD pipelines as continuous testing.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Programming experience, willingness to learn and use PHP and JavaScript.
4+ years of testing experience.
Hands-on experience with any of the industry standard testing automation tools.
Solid knowledge of SQL.
Experience with white box and black box testing.
Experience with improving unit and integration tests.
Great communication skills and proficient in Dutch and fluent English.
Nice to have
Relevant QA certifications.
Experience with testing cloud and cloud-native applications.
Experience with testing monolithic and (micro)services architecture.
Experience with performance (load, stress, resilience) and APIs testing.
Experience connecting observability with quality assurance.
Experience with testing mobile applications.
Testing in production.
